Dispute cases over adjacent relations in rural areas are more relatively difficult cases in the courts. In such cases, litigants of the two parties have diverse claims, sharp contradictions and no mutual concessions, which are easily intensified to become the personal injury cases, thereby causing serious consequences. In the process of dealing with cases, although the judges will exhaust much more energy than other cases, but they are still hard to get good effects. The judges have broad scope of exercising discretion, and legal grounds and results of cases and caseshandling are very different, so litigants are tough to submit themselves to a court decision and patch up a suit, thus leading to passive cases execution and low- rate of automatic performances.In this paper, Chapter I, it introduces of the dispute case over adjacent relation between two litigants, Mr Li, and Lichun, sets forth current situations, reasons, characters and difficulties of dispute over adjacent relations in rural areas, and sort out stipulations of adjacent relations under existing laws. Chapter II is to investigate adjacency relations systems of foreign law and Chinese law, and consider the places where can be learned from. Chapter III is to analyze the provisions and insufficiencyof adjacency relations in the national property rights law; Chapter IV is the conclusion part, which gives suggestions on the improvement of the system of adjacency relations in our country, points out several aspects in which should be focused on when dealing with such cases, and puts forward ideas about how to form reasonable rural adjacent disputes settlement mechanism.
