Marx’s concept of the mass is a timeless topic, but also a worthwhile for us to distinguish and discriminate issues. Marx’s mass view is the basis of Marxist view of the mass, but with different.The origin of Marx’s mass view is begin at the critique of heroic history view,and enriched and improved his philosophical thinking about material,practice and labor,and eventually inspected by the practice of Marx’s participation and leadership of the workers’ movement,forming an important part of his materialist conception of history. Marx’s concept of the mass thought that people’s liberation is a historical activity.People use the means of labor to reform the material world,and ultimately create the history of their own. Through a more profound understanding of Marx’s time,and reviewing systematically,making a deep study on the works of Marx which is related to the mass, we will have a further understanding of Marx’s mass view in theoretical grasp and practical application.The ultimate ideal of Marx’s concept of the mass is the people’s total liberation and overall development,this ideal has deeply influenced the goal of the Communist Party of China’s revolutionary period and leading China’s socialist construction and reform and opening-up. The idea of serve the people heart and soul, achieve common prosperity, the "Three Represents" important thought, the people-oriented philosophy in the scientific development concept,and finally the pursuit of the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, every generation leaders of the Communist Party of China have been deepening and developing Marx’s view of the mas with combing with the law of the development of the society and history, letting Marx’s view of the mass have a new life in China.It is of great significance for us to restudy Marx’s concept of the mass, which is of great significance for us to understand the party’s responsibilities, the people’s status and the development of the country.
