| The province of Liaoning is recognized a big province of sports by people in our country, and supported large quantities of outstanding sports talents for our country for many years, but Liaoning province run into some setbacks in recent years. It was taking a toll when the Sports Delegation of Liaoning Province defeated at 10th National Games. Due to the“less investment”,“brain drain”,“antiquated system”, competitive sports in Liaoning cannot keep sustainable development . So, in order to consolidate dominance and improve the athletic competitiveness, it is imperative to promote the province of Liaoning into a athletic strong province. This paper research the athletic sports of Liaoning province and put forward a few proposal to offer reference for improve the athletic competitiveness of Liaoning province.This paper researches the status of athletic sports in Liaoning province, divided the athletic of Liaoning province into macro and micro targeting on performance in National Games, make an empirical analysis on macro and use comparative analysis on micro to compare them with other athletic provinces, thus obtain the factors which impact the amount of medals and the development of athletic sports.The research results shows that the factors such as GDP per capita, populations, stadium area per head, education spending per person, unemployment rate, social security expenditure per capita, historical performance and to be host or not are macro factors; athletes, coaches, the support crew are micro factors. All of those factors have conversation with advance of athletic sports.Sport funds in a smaller share of GDP, the brain drain is serious, management system falls behind, the method of winning gold is simple, cultural qualities of athletes is low, configuration of sports out of balance, a few coaches have higher educational background, these problems are affecting the sustainable development of competitive sports in Liaoning province.This paper studies the status of athletic sports in Liaoning province, and combined the performance of Liaoning athletes in recent National Games to provide some advice for promoting the general competitiveness of athletic sports: expand financing channels to advance the athletic strength; improve the selection efficiency on talent to advance qualities of reserve talents; optimize configuration of sports to move up the efficiency of investment; sports events goes back to the school , insist combination of sport and education; ameliorate medical environment, perfect the social security of athletes . |
