The21st century is the century of health care, and the health education is concerned by the whole world naturally, which made the school health education become the field that ensure young people construct a new health concept, keep healthy behavior. Health education can not only keep the teenager physical and mental health in primary and secondary schools, but also affect the families and communities through adolescents to achieve full-citizen health, lifelong health purposes. Effective school health education and teaching is particularly important for youngsters to master the proper health knowledge, form the health attitudes and keep health behaviors. Whether the health education can carry out successfully or not in primary and secondary schools is heavily depends on the professional level of the health education teachers, only a high degree of specialization of teachers can they develop their potentials, enhance the quality of health education in schools comprehensively, consequently, improving the quality of teachers of health education is the inherent requirement of development of health education. It’s obviously that the perfect standards of health education teachers is the guarantee for accomplished health education teachers. At present, the teaching ability of health education teacher is rather low, what’s more, there is no specific teaching professional standards in China. In comparison, the United States attached particular importance to build the teachers of school health education, and keep the high standards and requirements of health education teachers. With the detailed analysis and exploration of content of standards of health education teacher of USA, we can find important values for our country’s health education teaching and training of health education teachers.The introduction part gave the reasons that I choose this issue, made the introduction and comment on the researches in and out, proposed the conception and the significance of this study. The first part describes the background of the NBPTS health education teacher standards, which is based on the inherent requirements of the comprehensive school health education development and the vigorously promotion of the wave of professional development of teachers and the overall demand of health education teachers specialized construction. The second part of the text introduced the specific content of the accomplished teachers of health education for Professional Teaching Standards from three aspects, which included the health education teachers’ professional knowledge, professional skills and professional attitudes. The third part analyzes the accomplished teachers of health education professional quality features and pairs of professional features, which has fully reflects both health disciplines and education disciplines and focusing on the achievement of students’ educational skills and characteristics of multi-disciplinary penetration. The Part IV analysis the teaching philosophy, which adhere to the development of students, emphasizing the multi-cooperation of family, school and community. The fifth part analysis the positive impact and problems of the standard in the practice. In the last part, we put forward some revelations on the basis of our country’s reality and the reflection from health education standards in the USA, hoping to speed up the development process of China’s primary and secondary health education teacher standards, training the professional health education teachers, and build a healthy education and professional development community, stressed that the standards should be concerned about the life of health education content.
