| Mathematics is a highly logical and abstract subject. However, in order tocomply with people’s expect of exam and rapidly promote academic performance ofstudents, school who using traditional teaching model choose mechanical way oflearning. Students recite definition and formula with rigid way. This way weakensstudents’ interest and performance in mathematics. The development of informationtechnology is becoming more and more rapid. As for mathematics, teachers shouldpay more attention on students’ mind other than knowledge. To some extent, the birthof GeoGebra solved these problems effectively. The application of GeoGebra inmathematics class makes knowledge more visualized and it also inspires students’motivation and interest of study mathematics.Firstly, this paper aims at using GeoGebra assist middle school mathematicclass. Secondly, compare GeoGebra assisted teaching model with traditional teaching model. Then analyze the teaching result of Rotary and Quadratic Function in middle school mathematic class. At last, analyze the result of questionnaire survey. According to the statistics, the paper draws a conclusion that GeoGebra can motivate students’ desire of study and stimulate students’ consciousneof innovation. It also can help them cultivate creative and analytical ability.Gradually, it can improve students’ comprehensive quality.The methodology of the paper is quasi-experimental research. The experimentalsubject is two Grade Nine classes of Yunxi School.Yunxi School lies in HonggutanDistrict of Nanchang, Jiangxi province. The research distributes these two classes intoexperimental group and control group randomly. The experimental group usingGeoGebra assisted teaching model and control group using traditional teaching model.The object of learning is Rotary in first volume and Quadratic Function in secondvolume of Grade Nine. After experimental teaching, compare the performance ofexperimental subject and analyze the result of questionnaire survey. The measure toolof the research is SPSS Statistics. According to the statistics, we can come to a conclusion that GeoGebra assistedteaching model can mobilize students’ interest and initiative. Meanwhile, it canimprove students’ performance and provide a good study environment. The researchhas proved that GeoGebra has practical application value in middle schoolmathematics class. We hope that GeoGebra can be widely applied and popularized inmiddle school mathematics. |
