Patriotism is an eternal topic for all countries and nation in the world; hence, it is withouta doubt that patriotism education plays a significant role in college education in China. Thepace of our nationals economic development, along with the overwhelming ideal ofglobalization and age of information, the education of patriotism in colleges is not only facingunprecedented challenges and opportunities. Red resources is the great legacy brought by theChinese Communist Party and its people from the practice in new-democratic revolution andsocialist modernization. It is an important part of contemporary Chinese college education.Moreover, red resources is the core resource for patriotism education as it orientate thepatriotism education by enriching the content of the patriotism education and extend its scopeto a higher level.This dissertation with the theme of research of colleges’ patriotic education based on RedResources in Hubei province consists of five parts: The first part is an introduction of researchbackground, research significance, review of research, what does it research of and thespecific research methods. The second part will analyzes the importance of patriotismeducation in the new century, as well as the challenges which were brought by globalizationand network informationization towards college patriotism education. The third part containsthe following terms: the related theories of red resources, the different types andcharacteristics of red resources, the historical origin and the advantages of red resources inHubei province and the important role of red resources in college patriotism education. Thefourth part presents the investigation and analysis of the application status of red resources incollege’s patriotism education in Hubei province with the questionnaire methods. Byorganizing and analyzing the results of survey, the result of applying red resources and itsissues resulted by practice were delivered.The fifth part discusses the strategy which could bea referral for currently patriotism education of how to enhance the role of red resources incolleges’ patriotism education from variety of aspects: classroom-teaching, campus-culture,social-practice and mass-media.
