The coming of knowledge economy causes the increasingly fierce market competition. In21st century, it is the talent competition that key of competition lies in. So the human resources become the core resources in economic development. As the cradle of professional personnel training, colleges shoulder the important task of economic and social development. College human resources management level directly determines the quantity and quality of the faculty, which is the key of the college core competitiveness’s forming. Under the new situation, the increasingly fierce college competition forces colleges have begun to pay more attention to human resources management. Meanwhile, the national academic fraud incident sounds the alarm to the colleges, triggering colleges attach great importance to the human resources management.Hubei Province is located in eastern China, which is a real education province. Many elite schools and the huge teachers provide the opportunity to Hubei Province for developing education. But how to play colleges advantages of Hubei Province, improve their teaching and research capacity, enhance their comprehensive strength, and train more professionals for economy and society, becomes the urgent problem of colleges in Hubei Province. Now, colleges in Hubei Province have come to realize that human resources development is an important part of the college building. However, the truth is that backward personnel management has been unable to adapt to the fierce competition in the college, human resources unreasonable configuration results in a great waste, the current personnel recruitment system makes college into a dilemma of easy to attract talent but difficult to retain talent, mechanical single performance evaluation and incentive pay system cannot meet the demand for a higher level of college human resources, cannot stimulate their efforts t upgrade their proactive, creative job done, and neglect of harmonious soft environment also lead to great brain drain. Colleges of Hubei Province urgent desire of strategic human resource management to tap the potential of human resources realize the value of human resources, create human resources benefits, so as to further promote the development of colleges. The thesis conform the requirements of the times and development of economy and society, introducing the modern theory of the human resource management in the college human resources management. It starts with the concept, features, objectives, functions and basic theory of college human resources, expand research on the status of college human resources in Hubei Province, point out the problems that college resources management in Hubei Province are facing, and finally put forward solutions. These studies conclusions drawn a reference for the development of college human resources management in Hubei Province.
