Study On Ideal Faith Education For College Students Under The View Of Media Literacy

The ideal faith is the goal people pursue and yearn for, is the values and worldview that people uphold, and is also the spiritual backbone of a person, a national and acountry. The ideal faith education becomes the most important part of ideological&political education because it can help people overcome confusion in the ideal faith,strengthen the Marxism belief of college student and build the confident of thesocialism with Chinese characteristics.Some severe challenges on college students’ ideal faith education are put forwardunder the rapid development of media technology. Various ideological trends caused byglobalization have a strong impact on the ideology of college students. College students’ideal faiths are seriously challenged by the bad media information resulted from thehighly-developed media technology. For example, political beliefs of college studentsare shocked by western culture penetrated via the media. Consumerism advocated bymedia results in college students covets material things. Vulgar and entertaining mediamisled the value orientation of college students, et ac. Therefore, we must fullyunderstand the importance of ideal faith education in this information age, present somemeasures about college students’ ideal faith education under the view of media literacy,achieve the objective to strengthen the effectiveness on college students’ ideal faitheducation.Aiming at these problems, the author studies ideological characteristics of collegestudents carefully in the media age. Using the positive function of media, thedisadvantages are converted into advantages. Combining the education of media literacyand the education of college students’ ideal faith, the author tries to explore newmethods suitable for ideal faith education of Chinese college students through learningthe foreign lessons of media literacy education, and also tries to present measures oneducation of college students’ ideal faith under the vision of subject of education, objectof education and environment of education. Firstly, as the main part of education,school should be given full play to the role of ideological and cultural highland.Secondly, cultivating college students’ media literacy follow the principle of college students’ media literacy education. Finally, education environment of college students’ideal faith is refined thoroughly by strengthening governmental supervision, elevatingjournalists’ professional ethics, developing campus media culture.
