Study On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Volleyball Development In The Middle Schools Of Zibo City

Volleyball, with comparative popularity in our country, is one of the favorite sports. However, with the development of the times, the sporting target of the country has adjusted to fight for "Olympic Gold" which naturally becomes the center of teaching and training. Besides, the students have been posed by examination-oriented education. All this has ignored the development of volleyball, especially of high school volleyball.This paper has selected20middle schools from Zibo City (five districts and three counties) as a research object. Through the research methods of literature, expert interview, questionnaire and son on, the writer has deeply comprehended the current situation and development of Zibo middle school volleyball. The results are summarized as follows:(1) In Zibo city, there are a few professional volleyball teachers in middle schools with females less. Some schools exists part-time volleyball coaches from different professionals. Qualifications are relatively ideal, most of which are undergraduate or above. It recommends to increase the chances of further volleyball training, and gradually improve non-professional volleyball teachers’teaching and training level, which will provides basic guarantee for the sustainable volleyball development.(2) The supporting facilities of middle school are out of balance between the urban and the rural. The urban middle school facilities are much better than that of the rural. They can’t meet students’daily teaching and training. At PE class or during extracurricular activities, the classes use volleyball venues in turn, which seriously affects the volleyball development. It recommends related sector to increase input on venues and supporting facilities, to meet normal teaching and training requirements.(3) As a result of single teaching method, some students don’t know enough about volleyball, which reduces their interest for volleyball. It suggests that the teachers should learn advanced teaching methods by hosting classes to the game or communication between schools in order to promote students’volleyball knowledge and interest.(4) The promoting and developing of volleyball games in Zibo middle schools requires the high attention from leaders of major government department and schools. Firstly, they should change their traditional attitudes and recognize the value of volleyball promotion, in order to better promote the development of middle school volleyball.(5) Under the influence of the general social teaching environment, middle-school students spend so little time on extracurricular activities that most of them don’t have much time to participate in volleyball, which as another important factor restricts the development of middle school volleyball. It recommends that the relevant departments can allow students’one-hour activities every day, to make students’proficiency in techniques and tactics and fully feel the joy of volleyball.(6) Zibo city seldom hosts any annual middle school big volleyball tournament. It suggests that related departments regularly hold volleyball games among middle schools. If available, mutual competition between urban and rural middle school can make rural middle schools recognize their shorts raise attention of related departments.
