Since the May Fourth movement, the Neo-literature spread betterbased on many colleges. At that time, many well-known new cultureadvocators and neo-literature writers were actively involved incolleges, primary and middle schools’ Chinese teaching filed,which made the new literature education in the early of the republicof China obtained certain achievement. However, at that time,almost all colleges concentrated in Beijing, Shanghai and othereastern regions, so the achievement of the neo-literature educationhad some limitations. With the breakout of the Lukouqiao Incident,China entered a long eight-year stage of the Anti-Japan War, andChinese higher education experienced a critical moment of living ordeath. In order to continue and protect the lifeblood of the Chineseeducation culture, the turbulent situation compelled the colleges inthe east and middle of China to transfer to the west of Chinasuccessively. Although the process was bitter, the so-called“long-march-culture” had brought advanced science andtechnology into the southwest where the education was backward,be conductive to developing the education in southwest China. Withthe mass migration of the colleges and intellectuals, the face ofneo-literature foundation education in southwest has also changed.Many westward migrations of colleges opened the normal college, held teacher training courses and trained a large number of newChinese teachers for southwest. Many famous people who move towest with westward migration of colleges involved in the educationof primary and secondary schools which are nearby, spreading theknowledge of the neo-literature, and helping to guide the students tocreate campus literature and art society. Facing the backwardnessphenomenon of the southwest’s Chinese basic education, they gavetheir opinions and guided the Chinese teachers here by advancededucation thoughts. So that, the seed, the neo-literature foundationeducation, sprout and blossom in the southwest region.
