The State and government are paying more attention to the newresident students’ learning and educational problems. As one of the mostbasic disciplines, mathematics is to develop students’ intelligence andcultivate their quality.This article selects students in Grade Seven of some of the middleschool in Jiashan County as object of study. Through testing theirmathematical foundation,we found that significant difference existsamong new and native resident students.And then through thenon-intelligence factors and cultural background of survey,try to find thecauses of differences and eliminate difference,to improve the situation ofstudents’ math learning of new residents.The first chapter of this article are research background,researchpurpose and meaning,as well as the content and method.Second, this paper from the education problem of floatingpopulation,the influence of the cultural background of studentsmathematics study,the influence of non-intelligence factors of studentsmathematics study these three aspects introduces the present situation ofrelated research.The third chapter introduces the related situation of JiashanCounty,including:the new residents ‘basic situation, the interview situation about part of the schools of Jiashan,and a case of a newinhabitant in Jiashan Nanshu middle school.Chapter four strive to reflect mathematics study situation of the newand old resident students.First of all,it has carried on the new and oldresident students mathematical foundation tests,the tests results show thatthe differences of mathematical foundation between new and old residentstudents, and analyzes the causes of error to appear on the test.Followedby a new and native resident students mathematics study ofnon-intelligence factors,the results show that the math result is associatedwith students’ non-intelligence factors,and in-depth analysis.In the end,the cultural background investigation,including students and parents inthe survey,the results show that students’ achievement is closely related totheir cultural background,and analyses the family factors,school factorsand social factors.Fifth chapter from non-intelligence factor,family factor,schooleducation and social environment four aspects put forward some adviceto improve the situation of students’ math learning of new residents.Finally,this paper summarizes the work.
