| Japan’s special education has developed since1870s formally and gained a lot ofgreat achievement. Especially in21stcentury, for the spread of the idea of inclusiveeducation and changes of Japan’s formation of the handicapped, Japan’s specialeducation changed its name with special support education. More importantly, itsform and definition have changed greatly, which becomes a featured specialeducation.When the special education was changed as special support education, Japanmakes support for handicapped students to be independent as a focus and it tries todevelop those students to be subject to join in the society. For that reason, Japan’sgovernment began to design and implement the policies and measures on support forhandicapped students to be independent. This study mainly discusses that how Japansupported handicapped students to be independent since21stcentury when theychanged the special education and makes a summary on features of related policiesand measures, and finally proposes introspection.The introduction mainly contains research origin, research objective andsignificance, literature review, theoretical basis, research method, research conditionsand problems in research. In the text, the author first states the transformation ofJapan’s special education, then mainly introduces Japan’s government support onhandicapped students to be independent via these aspects, polices, economics, schooleducation. Among these things, supports on policies include designing and revisinglaws and regulations and construct the system of vocational education and hiring forthem. Supports on economics include budgets of hiring them and related projects.Supports on school education mainly discuss the boost of study guideline on differentstages. And finally, the study makes a summary on the achievement of the process ofstudents’ independent, also including enlightenment of its policies and measures andintrospection of our country’s related policies and measures. |
