Special education is an important part of the national education system, the keyto run special education, improve the quality of special education students is special toa healthy body and mind can live, learn, which is the main way to resolve PhysicalEducation. Physical Education special groups is an important component in the formof school physical education, therefore, provide a good school physical educationstudents can not be separated for specific scientific and rational Physical Education.Special Olympics is the Olympic spirit-based projects, specifically for people withintellectual disabilities to carry out the exercise training, competitions and relatedactivities, therefore, the introduction of a special part of the Special Olympicsprogram in physical education, not only add to the game’s atmosphere and fun forspecial Students acquire the ability to survive, but also to develop their self-reliance,self-reliance and equal participation in social life, to enhance the basic capabilities ofits own, with positive attitude towards life. Therefore, the introduction part of SpecialOlympics sports in physical education in special education schools and trends in thecurrent path of development of special physical education.This paper uses literature, questionnaires, field observation, comparative analysisand mathematical statistics, on the part of Special Olympics sports after theintroduction of the status quo in Tai’an City area sports teaching special educationschools for statistical analysis, some of which Special Olympics project leader beforethe introduction of effective questionnaires collected14copies,26copies of validquestionnaires of teachers, with the introduction of equal number of validquestionnaires leaders and teachers before introducing each of14copies and26copies, data on these questionnaires to collate statistical analysis, the results showed:(1) Tai’an City area of special education schools basic site construction and equipmentrequirements specific equipment needs reached less than construction; fundingsources of funding in the form of a single, funded mainly rely on government funding,allocation status unreasonable; situation of teachers is not enough coordination; Theimportance of physical education in schools does not cause school leadership’s attention.(2) Physical Education cited on special sports for students in the SpecialOlympics spirit, improve their self-control, independent thinking and problem solvingand processing capabilities and enhanced relationships with some educational value inTai’an City area of special education Physical education in schools is necessary tointroduce part of the Special Olympics sports.(3) The introduction of SpecialOlympics sports Tai’an City area special education school physical education situationhas improved significantly, but still need to deepen reform.(4) Factor the impact ofSpecial Olympics project in depth special education schools exist both positive andnegative factors also exist factors.Tai’an City area for the development of various special education schools madethe following recommendations:(1) expand awareness of special education, emphasison the development of sports teaching special education schools.(2) Expand the rangeof sports to raise funds, the gradual improvement of material conditions.(3) Acombination of training and expertise to effectively optimize teaching.(4) Tostrengthen the school’s Physical Education Reform, attention to student development.(5) Carry out the Special Olympics, sports teaching innovation to expand specialeducation school.
