With the advent of the global information age, networking has become the mainstream ofsocial development nowadays. Our society now has entered a network information era which isbased on the real interpersonal relationship. Network society has digitalized the interpersonalcommunication in people’s real life with reference to the realistic society, which makes therealistic society and network society conform to each other and promote each other. Networksociety has also got the favor of college students and college students become the main users ofsocial network activities. The problem thus forms in college students’ communication hasrecently become the research focus of college students’ network ideological and politicaleducation. Contact, as a way to practice the philosophy of comprehensive development of man,is an important category in the college talents cultivation theory for which Marxism is theguiding ideology. Communication practice is conducive to college students’ socialization andtheir self-perception, so it is significant on both theoretical and practical level to studycontemporary college students’ social communicative behavior in the network environment.Byanalyzing cyber-communication behaviors of college students both in China and abroad, theauthor found some problems do exist in Chinese college students’ online communicationbehaviors. The problems include: the deviation in apprehending the theory, a lack of research oncollege students’ network communication and reconstruction, lack of education practice and alsoa lag in the new study method of the network.This research is carried out to study the above problems. There are four parts in the thesis.The first part is an introduction, which introduces the research background and the existingresearch results at home and abroad. The second part is a summary of contemporary collegestudents’ network communication. In this part, literature research method is employed to clarifysuch concepts as network communication and college students’ network communication. At theend of this part, the connotation, the forms and the characteristics of contemporary college students’ network communication behaviors are concluded. The third part introduces the basiccontents of contemporary college students’ network communication. The results of questionnaireinvestigation and data analysis indicate that network communication has both positive andnegative influence on college students. It can bring some positive effects but also can cause someproblems. Possible reasons of these problems are analyzed. The last part gives some suggestionsto the problems existing in the contemporary college students’ network communication andfinally conclusion is reached from the perspective of the innovation of ideological and politicaleducation.We are now living in the internet world and are enjoying the surprise that internet brings tous, but we are also subjected to its impact. Therefore, to have a correct understanding of internetand use it appropriately becomes the most important content in contemporary college students’campus life.
