People are paying more attention on student-centered curriculum requirements and inquiry teaching as widely launched of basic education curriculum reform in china and teachers are faced with new challenges. This paper studies novice chemistry teachers and the experienced chemistry teachers teaching behavior in chemistry classroom of middle school. Through the observation of the classroom teaching and talking with teachers to collect data. Select representative class records were analyzed, and combined with the existing literature data compare novice teachers teaching practice and experienced teachers teaching practice.Through the comparison of novice teachers and experienced teachers in the preparation stage before the lesson and the teaching process, the following aspects of the differences were found:(1) Due to the lack of professional knowledge and experience, novice teachers is not enough to understand students’learning situation in the pre-class preparation stage.And in the course of teaching, novice teachers is hard to design instructional design and is not considered comprehensively when selects cases. Experienced teachers pay more concerned about students’ prior knowledge and experience in the process of instructional design.(2) Novice teachers prefer to select situation material from the literature or information. Experienced teachers through the life experience of processing to create situations.(3) In the course of teaching, novice teachers depend on verbal presentation with less text interpretation. Experienced teachers in verbal presentation with the text interpretation, and the text presented is more accurate and pay more attention to the knowledge of the upper and lower contact compared to novice teachers.(4) Novice teachers lack the overall grasp and contact teaching of knowledge points,and who’s teaching thought is not clear. Experienced teachers to the overall arrangements for teaching, and made the full preparation before class. Experienced teachers are good at summarizing and widely applied to teaching.Based on former research, this study selects novice teachers and experienced teachers as research objects, to replace the previous to the novice teachers and expert teachers. Experienced teachers as novice teachers’growth targets, which makes the professional development of teachers is more continuity and operability. This paper select representative class records were analyzed and combined with the existing literature data, and give some professional knowledge and practical advices to novice teachers. Hope that this research can provide some help for novice teachers, and provide some reference for the direction of the topic research.
