The study on modern cognitive learning theory and constructive learning theory shows that study is based on the original knowledge. Biology is a kind of knowledge system, which is made up of some biology concepts. Concept teaching is an important part in biology teaching. Learners already have pre-science conceptions which are the same as or different from scientific concepts before they get the biology education, and this pre-science conceptions would hinder or further the formation of scientific concepts. The study which investigates students’ existing biology pre-science conception, have some assistance to our biology teaching.According to the national course standards, the study gets the main biology concepts at first. Then the study investigates students’ biology pre-science conception by means of document and empirical method. Using the way of making two-tier diagnostic test of treagust, Two-tier biology concept diagnostic test is made to supply instrument of diagnosing biology pre-science conception.Using Two-tier biology concept diagnostic test that the writer made, the study, which focuses on the junior high school students, investigates students’ biology pre-science conception for biology teaching.
