A Study On Honesty Education Of Contemporary College Students

The university is an important base to cultivate talents, inherit civilization and construct advanced culture. It is responsible for the task to train qualified constructers and reliable successors for socialism. Carrying out the honesty education in the university is an significant part to combat corruption and uphold integrity in the whole society and the inevitable requirement to strengthen the ideological and moral education of the youth. Our nation and the Party have high expectations on the undergraduate and the undergraduate is an important reserved force for civil servants who may be the backbone for the construction of many areas of our nation. Therefore, strengthening the honesty education of the undergraduate has significant practical significances to improve their immunity and it is the inevitable approach for them to set up correct world outlook, outlook on life and value.The main objectives and tasks to carry out honesty education for the undergraduates are:To strengthen legal institution and integrity education, to strengthen the social moral, professional ethics and family virtue education, to organize them to learn about the policies and guidelines and laws and regulations of the Party’s and national construction on the Party conduct and of an honest and clean government and anti-corruption, to guide them to set up the faith of serving the country and the people, to improve their moral self-discipline, to strengthen their psychological traits of repealing the corrupting influence and to generally form the occupation concepts of honest and self-disciplined and loving their work and being devoted to it with the guidance of socialist core value system.The Chinese colleges and universities generally implement the honesty education, innovate in terms of the contents and forms of education and make remarkable achievements. But there are still some deficiencies, for example, the honesty awareness of the undergraduate is not enough, the effectiveness of education needs to be improved, the educational method is not novel and flexible enough and the teachers for honesty education shall be added, etc. There are many reasons for such deficiencies, mainly the influence of traditional culture on the undergraduate’s subconscious, impact of western capitalism enjoyment value on the honesty value of the undergraduate, negative effects of ideological trends on the Internet on the students and the influence of corruption phenomenon in the society on the educational effect, etc.In order to strengthen the honesty education of the undergraduate, we shall make efforts from the following aspects:Ⅰ.
