"Improving students’ scientific literacy" is the core objective of the new round of curriculum reform Obtaining scientific knowledge is the foundation of enhancing students’ scientific literacy. Therefore, Students’ scientific knowledge learning and deep understanding is the vital aspect of developing scientific literacy. Majority of studies found that before the student learning scientific knowledge, his mind is not blank, but has been aware of some geographical phenomena in daily life and has formed some special ideas in mind that is inconsistent of scientific conception, called "alternative frameworks" The existence of alternative framework tends to hinder students’correct understanding of geographical knowledge as well as formation of geographical knowledge systems. Then, how to help the students achieve the change from alternative framework to scientific conception will be an important subject to geography teachers.This paper take the High School Geography "atmosphere and weather, climate" as the research, explore the students’alternative frameworks and the teaching situation, with questions test check and classroom observation.First of all, contrast three commonly used terminologies "pre-scientific conception","misconception "and "alternative framework", define the concept of alternative framework in geography for this paper, then expound the connotation, characteristics and influencing factors of alternative framework in geography.Secondly, compare and analyze students’alternative frameworks before and after learning with questions test check, analyze the main problems in the process of classroom teaching with classroom observation:(1) teachers ignoring students’ alternative frameworks;(2) lacking in differentiating similar concepts;(3) lacking in highlighting the concept of innate character;(4) lacking in contacting with the experience of daily life;(5) lacking in constructing the knowledge systemFinally, aiming at the causes of students’alternative framework, according to the main problems in the process of classroom teaching, put forward the corresponding teaching strategies:(1) ascertaining students’ alternative frameworks;(2) taking the corresponding teaching strategies according to the alternative framework of different causes;(3) strengthening the application of scientific conception.
