With the study of mathematics education deepening, how to help students to learnmathematics effectively becomes the centre, this also the key education idea of the newcurriculum. The demand of the new curriculum standards in mathematics are different frombefore with high school student, such as promote active learning, cooperative learning andinquiry learning, these changes put forward higher requirements for teaching. However, with thesubjects increased in high school, and the mathematics courses become more logicality andabstract, students are not interested in mathematics, mathematics learning method is not flexibleenough. This phenomenon devoted to ineffectively learning, and can affect high school students’mathematics learning comprehensive to improve the effectiveness learning. Only helpingstudents to learning efficiently and in-depth research can the teaching activities works well.Concept mapping is an effective teaching strategie and evaluation tool, such as the use inteaching design diagram can help teachers to improve their teaching, and can promotemathematics learning and communication between teachers and students,it also helps teachers toevaluate students’ learning. But mathematical knowledge into concept maps which uniquefeatures will have compared to the general concept map, mathematical concept mapping willhave what functions and forms. The application of concept mapping in students’ learning ofmathematics, which specific functions on students’ learning of mathematics will have, whethercan improve learning status of high school students’ mathematics, and improve their mathematicslearning effectiveness, these questions are worth studying.In this paper, firstely I arranged the related knowledge of concept mapping and conceptmapping in mathematics teaching. Combined with the characteristics of mathematical concepts, Igave the mathematical concept mapping definition and its characteristics, to explore thetheoretical bases of mathematical concept mapping. Then according to the application of conceptmapping in mathematical learning, I summarized the concept mapping method as well as theexamples, and the application of concept mapping in mathematics learning. With the research ofmathematics learning effectiveness needs, I analysised of the influences of mathematics learningbase of effective factors and bulit a mathematical learning effectiveness evaluation system, andprovided a feasible way to evaluate students’ learning of mathematics for teachers’ teaching.Then through the questionnaire survey on students’ mathematics learning, the high school students’ mathematics learning effectiveness of the situation, find out the existing problems.Combined with the characteristic and the theoretical analysis of the concept mapping inmathematics, it can improve students’ mathematical learning effectiveness in the application ofmathematical learning. Finally the application of concept mapping in mathematics learning, italso can improve students’ achievement, stimulate students’ interests in learning mathematics,improve students’ learning habits, and promote communication and cooperation between teachersand students. Combined with mathematical learning effectiveness evaluation index system, wecan obtained that the concept mapping can improve students’ mathematics learning effectiveness,thus both theory and practice proved that the concept mapping can improve students’mathematical learning effectiveness. Finally I made some simple discussion on the problems inthe experiment, hoping to help the teachers’ to use concept mapping in their teaching.
