To this day, distance education has three phases, they are learning by correspondence, learning by TV and web-based learning. Web-based learning is a perfect integration of learning and information technology. Web-based learning is an opportunity for traditional learning, at the same time it challenge the traditional learning. When people enjoy the web-based learning, it also has some problem and negatively affects learning. The research analyzes the disadvantages of web-based learning, and the theoretical basis, systematic structure, and designing of the web-based collaborative learning environment based on concept mapping.ChapⅠInstruction: Analyzes the direction of the web-based learning developing, describes the collaborative learning is an important model in web-based learning, and the advantages of the web-based collaborative learning based on concept mapping briefly.Chap Ⅱ Theoretical basis: Social constructivism emphasizes the achieving of knowledge is a process of social mutual. Ausuel's meaningful learning theory has two principles. One is the principle of progressive differentiation, the other is principle of integrative reconciliation. He considered that brain storages knowledge in network. So the concept mapping accords with Ausubel's theory. And concept mapping is also a metacognition tool.Chap Ⅲ The characteristic and function of the web-based collaborative learning: Describes the meaning of the collaborative learning, the characteristic of the web-based collaborative learning, the principle of designing the web-based collaborative learning environment.Chap Ⅳ Concept mapping: Describes the meaning of the concept map and concept mapping, and the characteristic of the learning based on concept mapping. Chap Ⅴ The systematic structure of the web-based collaborative learning based on concept mapping environment: Describes the individual learning supporting, roles designing, rules of collaboration, shared collaborative material, collaborative tools and the assessment of the individual and team.Chap Ⅵ Designing of the web-based collaborative learning based on concept mapping environment: Describes the structure, technology basis and the designing of the database.Chap Ⅶ Conclusion: Summarize the work of the thesis.
