As the treasure of Chinese nation, Chinese martial art has a long history. Nowadaysbecause of China’s approaching cultural renaissance once again, the development of thetraditional martial art can better inherit traditional culture, which is good for the world’sunderstanding Chinese culture and conducive to the great renaissance of Chinesetraditional culture.Yancheng City is economically underdeveloped areas in Jiangsu province in China, isin the medium level of development, but the traditional martial arts culture is very strong.This topic through to the city of Yancheng traditional martial arts practitioners, theinheritance of traditional Wushu, old boxer, martial arts professors as the research object,through scientific research methods of literature, questionnaire and logical analysis, to theYancheng area traditional martial arts, traditional regional distribution of martial artspractitioners learning content, development, tradition martial Arts Wushu beginner’s mind,the initial contact, the traditional martial arts expert interviews, government departments tothe traditional martial arts of attention, investigation and analysis.By means of the analysis of the distribution and development of traditional martial art,the dissertation presents the corresponding problems in the traditional martial art inYancheng city:(1) the loss of the connotation of culture of traditional art of Yancheng city,the running--off of the population of traditional martial art, the disappearance of excellentboxing type, boxing school, the loss of the book of traditional martial art and boxingspectrum.(2) temporary shortage of the talent of traditional martial art (3) the shortageand the low level of the scientific research for traditional martial art.(4) The YanchengCity government departments pay more attention to the traditional martial arts is notenough.The Countermeasures of Yancheng City traditional Wushu proposed:(1) Tostrengthen the competitiveness of traditional martial arts of Wushu, reduce the loss of population.(2) Strengthening the awareness of cultural security, the protection oftraditional Wushu Culture.(3) To improve the protection consciousness of TraditionalMartial Arts Heritage of the people, to avoid the traditional martial arts and the loss ofschools.(4) strengthening the unearthing,assorting and studying of traditional martialart.(5) Yancheng City traditional Wushu talents cultivating mechanism.(6) perfecting thetraining mechnism of traditional martial art teacher and improving the quality of theteacher.(7) the government department concerned should strengthen the development oftraditional martial art.
