Academic Procrastination is a common phenomenon in undergraduate.In thisstudy, We use Chu&Choi’s the classification of academic procrastination,We put thetype of academic procrastination divided into active and passive procrastination.Active procrastination is an adaptive delay, its behavior will not have an adverseimpact on the results;Passive procrastination is a non-adaptive delays, individual donot want to delay, and the individual will suffer the adverse effect because ofprocrastination.In this study,we used questionnaires to study the undergraduate’s academicprocrastination;in the different type of the academic procrastination,the relationshipbetween time management disposition and academic self-efficacy ofundergraduate.Through a series of statistical analysis, we have the following results:(1)The current overall level of undergraduate’s academic procrastination is high, butthere is a small part of the student is an active procrastination, but the majority of thestudents are passive delay.(2)Active and passive procrastinators on the specific reasons for the delay in approvalrates are different,Agree on the rate of active procrastinator is high in adventure andperfectionist, passive procrastinators is higher on time management and lack ofconfidence.(3)Active and passive procrastinators procrastinators scores were significantlydifferent on the absence of self-confidence, risk and dependence.The score of activeprocrastinators on the adventure is significantly higher than passive procrastinators,The score of passive procrastinators on the absence of self-confidence and rely issignificantly higher than active procrastinators.(4)In active procrastinators, boys were significantly higher than girls on the score ofthe absence of ideas, resist control, peer influence and adventure, while girls inthe lack of confidence was significantly higher than that of boys.There are nodifference on grades and disciplines.In passive procrastinators,boys were significantlyhigher than girls on the score of Resist control and risk.in different grades of passiveprocrastinators,freshman students scored significantly higher than seniors on thereason of anxiety.Science students scored significantly higher than students in thedifficult engineering decisions and poor time management, science students scoredsignificantly higher than liberal arts students on peer influence t.(5)active procrastinators scored significantly higher than students in a passiveprocrastination on time management disposition, academic self-efficacy;there wereno significant difference between active procrastination and non-studentsprocrastinate on the score of ime management disposition, academic self-efficacy.(6)Time Management Disposition and its dimensions showed a significant positivecorrelation with academic self-efficacy and its dimensions on active procrastination,and can be a good predictor of active delay;Time Management Disposition and itsdimensions showed a significant passive correlation with academic self-efficacy andits dimensions on active procrastination, and also can be a good predictor of activedelay. (7)On the relationship between time management disposition and activeprocrastination,Academic self-efficacy plays an intermediary role entirely; On therelationship between time management disposition and activeprocrastination,Academic self-efficacy plays a partial mediatory.
