Thinking about the future has guiding significance for the individual's existing behavior,and individuals at different ages have different perceptions of time.Foreseeing the results of existing behaviors can motivate individuals to make greater efforts to achieve the desired goals.In the high school,the students' learning strategy shifts from the finishing strategy and rehearsal strategy to a more advanced meta cognitive strategy,which poses a greater challenge to the students' learning plan,including time management.In the youth group,academic procrastination is a very common phenomenon.Almost every student has experienced academic procrastination.This widespread procrastination may have a negative impact on individual learning and performance.In this situation,students' time management skills are particularly important.This study is based on 976 students from high school in Nanjing and Suzhou through the convenience sampling,using the Future Time Perspective Scale,Time Management Disposition Scale and Academic Procrastination Scale to investigate and analyze the characteristics of future time perspective,time management disposition and academic procrastination,and the function of time management disposition between the relationship of future time perspective and academic procrastination.This study uses T test,correlation analysis,one-way ANOVA,the test of mediating effect to analyze the situation of the three variables and draw the following conclusions:(1)Girls are slightly higher than the boys in the score of time management disposition;grade 2 students have a better ability of time management than fresh and senior students in high school;(2)There is a significant difference in future planning between boys and girls,and there is no significant difference in other dimensions of future time perspective;there is a significant difference between the fresh students and senior students in high school in the dimension of future persistence;(3)High school students' academic procrastination is at a medium level;there is no significant difference in the level of academic procrastination between boys and girls and senior students in high school have a higher level of academic procrastination than fresh and grade 2 students;(4)There is a significant positive correlation between future negative,future confusion and academic procrastination.The future persistence,future clarity and academic procrastination are significantly negatively correlated.The future positive,future plans and academic procrastination have no correlation;(5)Time management disposition is the mediator of future time insights and academic procrastination.Conclusions:(1)High school students' academic procrastination is at a medium level;the higher the grade,the higher the level of procrastination is;(2)The difference of grade and gender can affect individuals' time management tendencies and future time perspective;(3)The better the future time perspective and the better time management,the less academic procrastination is;(4)Time management disposition mediates the impact of future time perspective on academic procrastination.
