Tennis is an ancient sports with long cultural history, more and moreteenagers are taking tennis course, tennis is one of the most popularsports nowadays. In this paper the application research of sports gamesin junior amateur tennis teaching. By using literature method, interviewmethod, experimental method, questionnaire investigation method, logicalanalysis and mathematical statistics and other scientific researchmethods, study the junior tennis teaching with sports games,By discussingthe sports games used in tennis teaching, improve the level of studenttechnology is practical and possibilities to prove that sports games canhelp teachers teaching and this method has an important status and role,and to explore some basic tennis games which is suitable for the tennisteaching and training, and points out some problems that should be paidattention when those sports games be used. For provide some reliable basictheoretical to junior tennis teaching in China, at the same time, for thepopularization of tennis in China and the cultivation of the students’consciousness of lifelong sports.Through the experiment, investigation and study, the results showedthat sport games used in junior amateur tennis teaching has importantmeaning in theoretical and practical,which present mainly in thefollowing four aspects:Firstly, the sports games be used in the junior amateur tennisteaching, using the sports games help teaching can improve students’tennis skills. After the experiment,the forehand scores of those who hadused sports games helping teaching compared with those who had not usedsports games are significant difference.Secondly, the forehand and backhand skills of the experimental groupand the traditional group both have improved significantly, while the twogroups of students’ ability in tennis baseline backhand did not showsignificant difference, but the increased amplitude of the experimentalgroup is more evident, this is because the lasting time of the experimentalis too short. If this experimental continues a long period of time, thedifferences between the experimental group and the control group will bemore obvious.Thirdly, the experimental group which has used sports games,comparing with the control group which has been teached with thetraditional methods, more love tennis class, using sports games in coursecan improve students’ learning interest.Fourthly, the use of sports games teaching in favor of improve therelationship between teachers and students, which can increase teachers’personality charm and improve the effect of class teaching.Although using sports games in junior amateur tennis teaching classhas positive effects, many problems has to be attentioned when the teachers adopt sports games in the process of tennis teaching. First ofall, the teacher should choose proper games with obvious targeted,serving tennis teaching; Second, different parts in the process ofteaching should use different games, according to the need of tenniscourse; Third, the teacher must grasp the rules and time of the game;Fourth, the teacher should attention the combination of fun andeducational when they adopt tennis games, avoiding blindly "play"; Fifth,the teacher should pay attention to the safety part in the process of usinggames; Last but not least, different age stages students need differentgames, according to their aptitude, the teacher must pay attention to thescientific nature of the game.
