Previous intellectuals in China put their ideas and knowledge into practice in different rural areas of China. Unfortunately, most of these previous experiments resulted in failure due to the special wartime.Unlike direct political or economic solutions in previous experiments, some artists and other intellectuals use artistic intervention as a new kind of practice in rural construction. Artistic measure could avoid the previous failures with regards to the local administrations. It is a way to guide the community to make a change in a short time. The innovation of this research lies in the participation of intellectuals with overseas experience in the rural construction. By using qualitative methods (literature research, field research including participant observation and semi-structured interviews) in multiple cases, this research also intends to find out how these artistic interventions revitalize rural areas and attract people home. Based on practicing sociology, I intend to analyze the inner and outer group interactions in those ongoing experiments. Besides, special practical paths in these interactions also require the analysis from rural sociology and sociology of Art. As it can be summarized from those discussions, this research is concerned with several subfields of Sociology and thus makes it an interdivision issue.By the empire research on recent practices I try to reflect the methodology used to analyze previous social experiments. Most of the previous researches of rural constructions focus on the structuration perspective. They analyzed achievements or dilemmas of these constructions on political and economic extents. My empirical research tries to address the problem lied in the dual structure with a mixed perspective neither top-down nor bottom-up.
