Ideological and political theory course is the main position and the main channelof ideological and political education to college students, undertaking the importanttask of systematic Marxist theoretical education to college students. Effectiveness isthe lifeblood of the ideological and political theory course teaching.“Ideological andmoral cultivation and legal basis"(hereinafter referred to as the " Basis”)is the firstcourse for freshmen to open the door of ideological and political theory. The purposeof this course is to help students to establish a correct world outlook, life outlook,value concept, moral concept and the legal concept, educate and lead freshmen toadept to college life as soon as possible, enhance the ability to solve practicalproblems in their life and promote college students all-round development.“Basis” isthe important part of the curriculum system of ideological and political theory coursesthat it improves teaching effectiveness of this course, conducives to the smoothdevelopment of the follow-up other ideological and political theory teaching,conducives to promoting overall effectiveness of the ideological and political theoryteaching.In recent years, through joint efforts of education administration departments atall levels and the ideological political education workers, teaching effectiveness of"Basis " course has been improved obviously. However, facing changes of teachingobject, changes of teaching environments and development of curriculum, theteaching effectiveness of " Basis " course is still constrained by many factors and hasmany problems so that it need to be further improved.Combining with thecharacteristics of "Basis " course, this paper defines the main contents of the teachingeffectiveness.Through analysis of the major factors that influence the effectiveness of“Basis” teaching and investigation of actual teaching situation, it finds and analyzesthe prominent problems that exist in actual teaching, and then proposes targetedsolutions.Paper is divided into three parts:Part I: By describing the nature of "Basis" course, teaching content andobjective and combining with the characteristics of the courses, this part clears theconnotations of "Basis" course teaching effectiveness.Part II: By analyzing the five main factors that influence " Basis " teachingeffectiveness, namely, teachers, students, teaching content, teaching methods, teaching environments, this part accurately finds the main problems that exist in“Basis” teaching process.Part III: In view of the existing problems and combining with "Basis " coursefeatures and the actual situations of students, this part proposes effectivecountermeasures that are specific and feasible, and strive to improve the teachingeffectiveness of "Basis" course.
