The Analysis Of Social Work Intervention In Improving The Well-being Of Urban Retirees

This article is about a practical research on social work intervention to improvethe well-being of retired senior workers. With the development of social work, peopleneed more and more community-based social workers, and the elderly population isone of the most important groups that is in need of social work service. Providingservice for retired senior workers will not only be of practical significance inimproving the well-being of elders but will play an important role in the developmentof social work theory and practices. In this paper, literature research, interviews andquestionnaires and other research methods are adopted to investigate from a widerange of factors such as age, physical condition, economic level, family environment,to help the readers learn about the major issues urban retirees faced in life. Throughcommunity involvement and case study, it explores how to improve the well-being ofretired senior workers in cities and towns. This paper starts with studying individualsand families in the cases selected in the paper and adopts methods such as interviewsand nostalgic method to energize the objects in the cases, so the objects can restoretheir confidence, and their quality of life will be improved. On this basis, this paperalso puts forward the working methods and modes of individual work, group workand community work. Finally, an assessment of the individual case is conducted anda reflection on the inadequacies of the research is made. It takes the perspective ofusing social work as solution to problems and comes up with suggestions on how toimprove the well-being of retired senior workers in cities and towns on this basis,thus providing the government and society with a reliable basis.Social workers play an irreplaceable role in the development of retired seniorworkers, as well as in social harmony and stability. Professional social work in Chinais still in its infancy, especially in certain areas, but driven by the trend of innovativesocial management and people-oriented development, social work that takes the faithof helping others is helping themselves and takes the goal of solving problems as thepurpose is about to usher in their great development. Professional social workers arecertain to step onto a broader stage, and with their unique expertise, good work ethic,and the spirit of “helping others is helping themselves”, they will play a multiple role of service provider, resource integrator, policy adviser, advocator and consultant inhelping retired senior workers in cities and towns to solve their problems, guidingthem to improve their quality of life from all aspects actively and scientifically, sothat they are able to enjoy high-quality elderly life after retirement.
