With the deepening of adult education research, it gives more attention to the life and inner world of adult. Many academics begin to focus on the elderly population. The author selecting several retirees as the object, and using the qualitative research methods, to explore how the retirees adapt to the retirement lives.In this article, the shther interviews three retirees, who are at the different ages of their lives and from the different careers. The retirement adaptation process is divided into four stages, the pre-retirement period, the earlyretirement period, the adjustment period and the stable period. The auther interviews the stories of every period, and constructs a story about how the three retirees adapt to the retirement lives. Based on the collation and analysis of the data, the author present several influence factors of retirement lives, it contains self factors, learning factors, family factors, community factors and social factors. Then, the auther puts forward some suggestions for the retirees to adapt their lives, including that retirees should maintain a regular life, abundant recreational activities and keep learning after retirement; the government, enterprises and institutions should assume the responsibility of retirement education; the social should create a good living environment for the retirees. |
