Sense of place is always the focus of tourism geography and environmentalpsychology. In recent years, the field of education has also gradually developed theresearch of sense of place. Local geography education, as its profound geographicalflavor and distinctive regional characteristics, plays a special role in the cultivation ofteenager’s sense of place.In this paper, taking Yongfeng, Jiangxi province as the survey area, by using thequestionnaire method, we analyzed the status quo of local geography educationimplementation and the influence factors of teenager’s sense of place. On the basis ofthe existing research, we firstly designed curriculum schme which have localgeography education characteristic elements. Then selected students of class2inYongfeng experimental school as curriculum implementation object, to study the wayof local geography education implementation. In the end, we tested the curriculumimplementation effect through sense of place attitude questionnaire, to ascertain theimpact of local geography education on teenager’s sense of place.The results showed that: Firstly, the background of the students, including livingtime, sex, and their frequency of outdoor activities, won’t give an obvious influenceon the strength of sense of place. Secondly, sense of place can be intervened andshaped. Thirdly, local geography curriculum, with unique regional advantages, is oneof the important factors to enhance students’ sense of place.
