Kaifeng, which is one of the earliest cities introducing basketball game in Henan province, and it hasover one hundred years of history since1911. In the long-term historical development process, thebasketball sport is popular in the residents of this ancient city. Considering the promotion of the basketballproject in the high school, the basketball training resources, training content, training mode in the urban aresuperior to the schools offered in the counties. However there still exists gap between the schools fromKaifeng and Zhengzhou or other prosperous areas. Therefore, the author decided the topic as “Investigateand Analysis the Current Situation of the Basket Amateur Training in Kaifeng Middle School”. After thelucubration, the conclusions as follow:First of all, Kaifeng is one of the earliest cities that introduced the basketball game, it appears the longhistory of basketball game and a strong atmosphere. Under this atmosphere, the basketball games ofmiddle schools in Kaifeng also present its characteristics, such as long history, abundant experience.Secondly, with the development of the economic society and the transformation of the system, most ofthe sports schools went through shrinkage. After that, school sports got the booming again. All sports,especially the basketball game, which is greatly accepted by the public, basketball is enjoying itsprosperity. Therefore, through this research, we could have a comprehensive understanding about thecurrent situation, problems and transformation strategies of the basketball game development in Kaifeng.Which are helpful to make exploration and suggestions for the development of basketball game in Kaifengor other cities.Thirdly, the promotion driving by the25th High School, the13th Middle School, Kaifeng High School,Henan University Middle School and High School, Jinming Middle School, currently, the basketball gamein Kaifeng middle schools show a tendency of vigorous development. It greatly enhances the power ofKaifeng city high school basketball, creating a good campus atmosphere of basketball, providing a largenumber of basketball talents for provincial and national basketball clubs, also giving inspiration to thenon–professional sports students in basketball playing.Fourthly, at present, the form of Kaifeng city high school basketball amateur training is very various,mainly including sports special students’ basketball training activities, ordinary students who will take basketball games in PE class, and students who take spontaneous basketball training out of class and so on.Basketball playing plays an important role in satisfying the requirements of different types of students.Fifthly, due to various reasons, nowadays there existed a series of problems need to be improved inKaifeng middle school basketball sports, such as, the coaches’ low research ability, insufficient latertraining of the trainers, shortfall of sports funds of school, lack of medium and long-term development plan,insufficient consideration for basketball training, lack of effective coordination of management departments,the attitude to basketball training need to be changed and the supporting equipments of basketball team arenot incomplete and so on. To a large extent, these problems restrict the talent training quality and efficiency.According to this, for the existing problems of Kaifeng high school basketball management, on theone hand, we should focus on the strengthen of teaching management of the teams, for example, strengthenthe basketball management department, office, academic teachers, coaches and other to communicate andexchange to work well.Thus, they can provide the systematic training programs for athletes. To strengthenthe coaches’ scientific research consciousness, scientific research ability and training. According to theindividual condition, the coach can tailor special training plan for the individual; On the other hand, wemust strengthen the planning and evaluation of basketball training activities in PE class, improve thescientific level in the process of basketball training, strengthen the students’ understanding of the value ofbasketball, making the systematic training content and training plan, strengthen the evaluation of trainingeffect. Through the various campus publicity channels, we can create a better atmosphere of basketballplaying in the campus, also we should increase the investment on basketball game, complete the relevantsupporting facilities. We should strengthen communication and exchanges with other teams of othercolleges and universities, including matches between team and team, mutual learning in coaches,evaluation of teaching plan and teaching effect. In this way we can learn from each other to overcome ourown shortcomings, improve the quality and efficiency of basketball training. We should focus on foster thebetter and more basketball talented players as reserves, expanding the communication to the outside,broaden the training channel, promoting and improving the socialization of the basketball in Kaifeng.Therefore, to make it becoming a carrier which could used for enriching the people’s spiritual life andimproving the qualities of their lives.
