We all know that the student teaching practice plays a very importantrole in the teacher education. Student teaching practice is also a necessary processthrough the course which future teachers enter the area of education. what’s more,itestablished the bridge of the communication between the theory which the studentslearned from the class and books and the pratice which the students got from the realteaching scenes. In fact, student teaching practice in our country has faced a lot ofproblems. As a result, student teaching practice has lost the function that provide thehelp for the novice teacher. Under this condition, the new teacher need a long time tocover the weakness that the graduates have less teaching experience and need more timeto learn how to do their job on the position. In UK, the “school-based” student teachingpractice model have been through a long process of development. Up to now, it tend tomore complete. So we can absorb the nutritive substance we need from the school-basedstudent teaching practice and make ours more much better.The research was used three methods: Comparative method, documentationanalysis method and inductive method as well. The documentation analysis is used tostraighten out the development history of this model. Then Comparative method andinductive method are used to document the situation so that this paper can be valued forChina’s teaching practice reform.The research was made up of five parts: Part I: the background introduction aboutthe practice model;Part II: The theoretical basis of this model. Part III: description ofof the model in UK. Part IV: think about the features of the process of the teachertraining model. Part V: according to the shortage of the student teaching practice inChina,throwing some suggestion to make the student teaching practice better.
