With the new curriculum reform, the teachers to carry out a profound reflection ontraditional ideological and political teaching, and give the re orientation: the classroomis not the teacher performance, but the communication between teachers and students,the interactive stage; not training for students, teachers’ teaching behavior modeoperation of the place, but to guide student development, teacher education wisdomfully show places; not only to impart knowledge of the place, and should be on thegenerative knowledge of the place. To build such a class, we must reform the currentteaching mode. This paper from the requirements of the new curriculum reform,overcome the disadvantages of traditional teaching method, discusses the variousteaching methods emerging, find a topic based teaching mode is suitable to the currentnew curriculum from, the thematic teaching content and mode of operation were studied,prove the effectiveness of high school ideological the political class to improve thetheme teaching pattern.This paper has four parts.The first part s arting from the general theory of the thematic instruction,discussing the connotation, subject teaching characteristic and theory, practicefoundation, the clear connotation of subject teaching, as the research subject teaching inSenior Middle School Ideological and political course to prepare.The second part separately from the inevitable requirement, the deepening of thenew curriculum reform, classroom necessary requirement for improving theeffectiveness of training students’ ability and promoting teachers’ professional abilitydevelopment four aspects, demonstrates the necessity of subject teaching mode in thehigh school thought political lesson use.The third part analyzes the theme teaching mode application principle, operation steps, the teaching evaluation should follow in politics teaching in senior high school.Through the practice, prove the thematic teaching can meet the requirements of the newcurriculum reform.The fourth part mainly analyzes the contradiction problems of theme teachingmode in the high school thought political lesson in application, proposed a series ofoptimization strategy, in order to better improve the use of thematic teaching in SeniorMiddle School Ideological and political course.
