Chemistry is the study of material composition, structure, properties and change rules of science. Chemical three characterization from external representation, is the manifestation of the macroscopic, microscopic, chemical symbol dimension of knowledge; from the internal representation, refers to three levels of knowledge in the learner in the brain processing and presentation. Students on the material characterization and three heavy conversion level is the basic index of chemical literacy of students quality. Therefore, the students’chemistry three characterization and conversion level of testing is not only the need of students’quality evaluation and teaching design and teaching, but also for students learning chemistry reflection and development. In this study, the ER middle school in Yanji city A1.A2. B1.B2grade four class163students for students as subjects, A1. A2class chemical subject teacher A and served as class B1. B2chemistry, B teacher for teachers as subjects. The students’ homework and combining with the two stage questionnaire survey tools as students of chemistry three characterization and conversion of literacy; to combine the teaching design, classroom observation method, interview method as a tool and method of teachers three characterization and conversion of teaching strategy exploration, and three heavy characterization and conversion three characterization and conversion and the level of teachers’teaching strategies to the correlation of exploration.Research shows that:three characterization and conversion of literacy in Yanji ER middle school the third grade A1.A2. B1. B2four classes of163students at a good level. The macroscopic representation at the outstanding level, micro level of representation in general, symbolic representation level (need to add data), the characterization of transition between levels were weak, especially between macro and micro symbol, and symbols of the conversion level is poor; literacy teaching strategies of teachers in three characterization and conversion of the good, but the application of consciousness is weak, throw in the level of experience teaching strategies. Therefore, the level of teaching strategies of different characterization and conversion has considerable room for improvement; there is positive correlation between students’ Three Representation and conversion level teachers and three characterization and transformation of teaching strategies.Factors affecting the subjects three characterization and conversion level of literacy (1)--Based on the junior high school students’ cognitive need direct support causes the students to understand the characteristics of the.(2) influence of the pre concept, life concept and wrong concepts on characterization of construction and transformation.(3) positive correlation between teachers’teaching strategies for students characterization.(4) the teaching strategies and methods of teachers’ consciousness is weak.(5) as well as the experience type teaching design and other factors to put forward the following countermeasures in teaching:(1) according to choose appropriate teaching strategies and methods of students need to junior high school students’ cognition.(2) the cognitive process of making scientific teaching strategies and methods according to different chemical characterization and conversion.(3) effects of chemical three characterization of exploration before concept, concept of life and the wrong concept of students and their conversion, formulate corresponding strategies.(4) vigorously develop teaching resources, special value and function of different teaching resources in different representation and transformation in the.
