| For the past few years, the living standards of urban and rural residents have improved dramatically with the rapid development of economy in our country, but it was linked to an increase of overweight and obesity and a decline of index for main physical quality. More attention should have been brought to the physical health status. Body Fat Content (Body Fat Ratio) is one of the most important data for the body composition tests. It has been praised highly by many scholars as an important index for measuring and assessing one’s weight status. Therefore, using the Body Fat Ratio as the standard of grouping people’s different somatotypes, this study is discussing the relationship between the adults body fat ratio and physical health, in order to give better instructions for people’s physical exercise and provide the basis for related research.This study mainly selected the samples of747adults after data screening of760people in Hangzhou from a test of the National Physique Monitoring Center of Zhejiang Province in2012, including male301,female446people aged between20to39years old. According to the stipulations of the instructions for the South Korea’s INBODY3.0human body composition tester and national physique determination standards manual(adult),the following measurements have been concluded:Fat-free Body, Body Fat Ratio, BMI, Height, Weight, Pulse, Blood Pressure, Vital Capacity, Step Index, Grip Strength, Sit and Reach, Eye-closed and single-legged Standing, Choice Reaction Time, Vertical Jump, Push-up, Sit-up. In order to study the relationship between adults’Body Fat Ratio and physical health, the software Excel has been used for data entry and the data collected from the test has been analyzed by the SPSS13.0.Based on the study of physical constitution status of Hangzhou adults, about42.5%of Hangzhou adults’Body Fat Ratio has been in the normal range. But there is a certain number of overweight and obese people(male of31.5%,female of53.1%) due to the unreasonable diet, lifestyle and exercise habits,also the trend of overweight and obesity is continuing on. The results from the analysis of the association study for the adults between Body Fat Ratio and physical health index are:1.the adults Body Fat Ratio was significantly and positively correlated with the systemic blood pressure (male:r=0.351, P<0.01; female:r=0.298, P<0.01); the adults Body Fat Ratio was significantly and positively correlated with the diastolic blood pressure (male: r=0.351, P<0.01; female:r=0.333,P<0.01).2.the correlations of Body Fat Ratio and grip strength are different between the male and female, female has been related significantly and positively(r=0.169, P<0.01), while the male has been not significantly correlated (r=0.012, P>0.05); the adults Body Fat Ratio has been significantly and negatively related to the eye-closed and single-legged standing (male: r=-0.314, P<0.01; female:r=-0.201, P<0.01); the adults Body Fat Ratio has been significantly and negatively related to the vertical jump (male:r=-0.336, P<0.01; female:r=-0.260, P<0.01); the correlations of Body Fat Ratio and sit and reach are obviously different between the male and female, the male has been significantly and negatively correlated while the female has no correlation (male:r=-0.227, P<0.01; female:r=-0.093, P>0.05); both of the correlations between the adults Body Fat Ratio of male or female and push-up, sit-up are significantly negative (male:r=-0.327, P<0.01; female:r=-0.200, P<0.01).3.According to the different groups of adults Body Fat Ratio and physical health index correlation analysis, it showed that:in addition to the vital capacity adults in thin, normal group and the overweight obesity group mean no significant difference, the overweight obesity group of quiet pulse, blood pressure was significantly higher than that of normal group(P<0.01);besides choice reaction time index, adults in the thin, normal group mean no significant difference, while the overweight obesity group of eye-closed and single-legged standing, vertical jump, sit and reach, push-up, sit-up and so on has an obvious difference compared with the normal group (P<0.05)The study shows that the increase or decrease of Body Fat Ratio has no effect on adults vertical capacity and choice reaction time performance, but the Body Fat Percentage was correlated significantly with the index of quiet pulse, blood pressure, step index, eye-closed and single-legged standing, vertical jump, sit and reach, push-up, sit-up and so on. It also shows that the Body Fat Percentage has a significantly negative impact on the cardiopulmonary function in adults cardiovascular and muscle strength flexibility, balance ability. |
