With the continuous development of art education, the teachingdesign of new curriculum standard in middle school art guidelinesexplicitly put forward the "student-centered", advocate the attention ofstudents in fine arts learning needs. Provide a suitable platformAmerican Mccarthy team on the "4MAT" teaching mode for studentsof different personality development and innovation ability, advocatenatural learning process step by step, the alternating the use of the left,right brain dominance inclination and different types of learners,teaching strategies, in accordance with the reflective observation,positive cycle experiments of teaching, to help our classroom teachingmore effective. This paper explores the theory and Practice Researchon the application of "4MAT" teaching mode in the present artteaching in middle school, and the mode is analyzed throughinvestigation and teaching practice and teaching effect. Teachingpractice has proved, in the fine arts teaching of middle school in themodel according to four different quadrant characteristics summarizeda series of effective teaching strategies and standards, in line with thecharacteristics of art teaching and is beneficial to the teachers’ teaching,is beneficial to the students, to enable every student to experience thejoy of thinking, imagination and creation in art courses finally,comprehensively improve the art accomplishment and personalitydevelopment.
