The Intercultural Communication Study On Jiangxi Foreign Students-Based On The AUM Theory

For the purpose of speed up Jiangxi international degree. In2013,Jiangxi governmentfunded "foreign student scholarship" aimed at the further development of foreign studentseducation of Jiangxi. And attract more outstanding students come to Jiangxi and enhancetheir understanding of Jiangxi. Nowadays there are14universities own the power to haveforeign students. Like Jiangxi Normal University、Nanchang University、Jiangxi Universityof Finance and Economics University, Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute etc. These colleges anduniversities are all comprehensive schools with high levels characteristics, so internationalstudents can choose according to their own needs from the different colleges and universities.The foreign students learning and studying in Jiangxi to some degree is a kind of interculturalcommunication. However anxiety and uncertainty are always exist in interculturalcommunication, and it is the main element affect the intercultural communication results.After the “honeymoon period”, the feeling of anxiety and uncertainty of foreign students inJiangxi are become clearer and clearer. If there are no proper interrupt,the foreign studentswould get culture shock and seriously affect their study and life.Based on the theory of Gudykunst’ AUM theory, I choose164international studentsfrom Jiangxi Normal university、Nanchang university and Nanchang Aviation university asthe object of my study.（83from Asian，79from African，2of them are from other areas.Even though the data of the two students are include in the spss, but further analysis will notbe include those two students）Through the questionnaire to realize the anxiety anduncertainty inner their heart. And get to know what procedures they would take to ease thosekind of feelings.
