Research For College Students’ Resilience From Economically Disadvantaged Families

As a special group in the university, facing the enormous pressure of life, employment,and other aspects, psychological conditions of the college students from economicallydisadvantaged families have been concerned by more and more people. In recent years,psychological health research of college students from economically disadvantaged families ismostly confined to the status of the negative aspects, not from the advantage in terms oftheir positive aspects. With the springing up of the positive psychology, let the academia tospecial groups turn to another side. The psychological restoring force research of the specialgroup is also concerned in the psychology-Ville. But there are more concentrated on thequake victims, the children of divorced families and other groups to be studied. Butresearches specially aiming at the economic difficulties students’ psychological restoring forceare less and less.This investigation is mainly to do a comprehensive understanding of the economicdifficulties students’ psychological restoring force and the results are analyzed and putforward the corresponding countermeasures to further enhance the family economicdifficulties students’ psychological restoring force to better promote the development of thisspecial group.On the survey of the whole，college students from economically disadvantaged familiesand non poor students have no significant differences as a whole. There are only significantdifferences in the support of friends and family social support. Based on the results of thesurvey to the family economic difficulties students’ psychological restoring force: the boys’psychological restoring force condition is better than the girls’; the science students’ is betterthan the girls’ of the arts. Students’ condition from the rural is better than the students’ fromcities in many dimensions. Sophomore and junior students’ psychological restoring force leveloverall is higher than freshman and senior students’ psychological restoring force level. Themain influencing factors to college students’ psychological restoring force from economicallydisadvantaged families are from internal and external. Putting forward concrete measures toimprove the family economic difficulties students’ psychological restoring force according to the results of the survey.
