In recent years, under the guidance of the fair education idea, the mental retardation children followed the class is getting more and more peoples’ attention. Classroom teaching as an important component of the mental retardation children followed the class focus more attention of numerous scholars and the theory and practice studies have advanced and made remarkable achievements. But as an important research field, the whole researches from the Angle of combining theory and practice are rare. But the reality is that the problems are emerging, so the improvement of classroom teaching is necessary and urgent.According to above, this paper studied the connotation, characteristics, elements, general model and theoretical basis of the mental retardation children followed the class in China, and starting from the practice survey analysis of the achievements and existing problems of it then put forward the strategies. These strategies are about two aspects, one is the overall support strategy and another is the concrete implementation strategy. Overall support strategy including social support strategy(policy system and public opinion propaganda), school support strategy(operating conditions and the clear school-running idea) and class support strategy(creating the physical environment and create psychological environment). Specific implementation strategy including subjectivity(reflective learning strategy of teachers, learning motivation, active participation, partner educational policy) and process strategy(teaching aim strategy, teaching content adjustment, teaching method selection strategy, teaching organization form optimization strategy, teaching evaluation strategy).This paper mainly adopts literature, observation and interview method. On the basis of historical research and teaching theory, I prepare the summary sheet and the interview outline to multi-angle in-depth analysis of the present situation of the classroom teaching of Shenyang mental retardation children’s school,aiming at react the real basis existing problems and put forward valuable improve strategy.
