The research method of curriculum is the significant safeguard for curriculum research to keep its scientificity, practicality and technicality, which closely related to the quality of curriculum study. For a long time, curriculum study has transplanted and imitated methods from other subjects. And because for lack of unique and effective method, the curriculum study has long been the state of less development. By making a comprehensive analysis on William Pinar’s Currere, this study aims at putting forward some useful suggestions for our curriculum study. The whole dissertation is divided into five parts:Part one:Introduction. This part describes the research reasons, present situation, research plan and also defines some related conceptions.Part two:The origin and development of William Pinar’s Currere. Currere is based on the critical analysis of American curriculum research and the philosophy of phenomenology, existentialism and psychoanalysis. At first, Currere has obtained rapid development under the promotion of Pinar, however, it soon countered "the plateau period" and "renaissance".Part three:The connotations and features of William Pinar’s Currere. This part has analyzed its connotations and characteristics from the perspective of focus,output form, research target, process, manifestation, effect and so on.Par four:The application and evaluation of William Pinar’s Currere. Currere has been widely applied in America and Canada, meantime, it has made great achievements. By analyzing the cases in detail, this part aims at discovering the possible deficiency in universal significance, self-consciousness, practical operation and research ethics.Part five:The enlightenment of William Pinar’s Currere. This part has presented the enlightenments of William Pinar’s Currere on our curriculum study from the perspective of research content, subject and method.
