Pupils are the future of our country, and the primary school is the cultivation stage of students' behavior and consciousness. Early science education plays an important role in the formation of scientific literacy, so chemical enlightenment education in primary school is essential and significant. Primary Science Curriculum is a comprehensive and scientific enlightenment course, with the purpose of cultivating scientific literacy. The content of enlightenment education should be multivariate and enlightenment education is different from early education or knowledge teaching. The former is the activation of thinking and the power of learning, while the latter may be the resistance.The author works as a science teacher in a primary school in Jiang Su .She finds that chemical part in the textbook is few and uneven distribution and the part does'nt present students progressive process. It is not conducive to the development of scientific literacy. How to grasp the degree and quantity of chemical enlightenment is a problem that our science teachers should think deeply.The paper based on the related research at home and abroad, according to the characteristics of the students thinking and the primary school science curriculum standard. The writer determines the contents of chemical initiation including the enlightenment of scientific thinking, scientific attitude and chemical emotional cognition.First, this paper analyzes the reason of the bad condition of scientific study and puts forward the necessity of chemical enlightenment education after the investigation of Grade Four to Six students' scientific study situation. Then the writer summarizes the principle and contents of the research, puts forward with the idea that interesting chemical experiment and environmental protection exploration practice are the carrier to carry out the research.The research shows that chemical enlightenment education in primary school is necessary.
