The pedagogy of variation is a traditional instructional strategy in China and it plays an important role in teaching. There are three forms about variation: Multiple solutions to a problem, one question with variants and several questio ns with one solution. They helps to build specific empirical system.Specific empirical system is vital in students’ learning achievements and abil ity cultivation. Some studies show that, without experience and mind set, all th e things are just meaningless shadows. Despite the flexibility of thinking, critic al thinking or creativity of thinking, they are all manifested with the foundatio n of certain empirical system. As one of the three forms, one question with va riants is paid closest attentions by teachers and it can enrich students’ empirica 1 system well and urge students to undergo different kinds of activities. So it i s of great importance in teaching.one question with variants can diverge students’ mind, cultivate students’ cre ative consciousness, creative thinking and innovative ability. This result has rec ognized by most researchers and teachers. But the teachers rarely use this strat egy in teaching. They think what to teach isn’t decided by them and the funct ion of this strategy is uncertain. The teachers’ attitude towards one question wi th variants is inconsistent. In this paper, the author try to know the different c omponents of the teachers’ attitude and some factors’ influence to attitude, for example, the teachers’ district, teachers’ gender, and types of school etc.Through literature, the suitable attitude model(the attitude model of affect, be havioral tendency and cognition) is found. According to the three components and the study objects, test items are established and a questionnaire is formed. During the study, the author collected 62 pre-study questionnaires and analyze d the reliability of the questionnaire with exploratory factor analysis. The gener al Cronbach’s alpha of the questionnaire is relatively high. And according to th e Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin test and Bartletfs test, it is suitable for factor analysis. As a result, the attitude of the teachers towards one question with variants can b e classified into 7 principal components. But the preferable items are aggregate d in the first 3 kinds, and they coincide with the attitude model of affect, beha vioral tendency and cognition well. This verifies the rationality of the model an d the validity of the questionnaire. Moreover, the components have relatively h igh Cronbach’s alpha. The author chose the first 3 main items, kept the high r eliability test items, and deleted or modified the low reliability test items. Acc ording to the content of the items, we named the items:the importance of one question with variants; the likeability of one question with variants; behavior orientation of using one question with variants. Then, we select 52 junior high school math teachers from 4 selective high schools in Shanghai and 3 high school in Jiangxi as objects. We use questionn aire survey and individual interview and we mainly use quantitative analysis, a nd secondly use qualitative analysis. At the same time, we use one-way ANOV A to analyze whether there is significant difference among them and use multi-factor analysis of variance to know the influence of the background factor to a ttitude and the three components. And the result shows that:1, according to one-way ANOVA, the mean value of the three components is different, and there is significant difference among them. And the scores of the importance and the likeability are higher than the behavioral tendency. And they are unbalanced.2, using multi-factor analysis of variance to test F, this value can test wheth er there is significant influence between the attitude towards one question with variants and the factors, such as the district, gender, educational background, t he type of the school, years of working, professional title etc. on the basis of the profile, the change of the factors will influence the three components, and there is discipline between them.At last, the author will introspect the research methods and process in order to provide some experience for the researchers on one question with variants. What’s more, it can promote the teaching in this field.
