Research of the high school mathematics teaching is now a hot topic in educational research. One of the highlights in this research field is study of improving the teaching effectiveness. In China, there are many scientific and excellent teaching modes. So the study of these characteristic and influential teaching modes will be a meanful research work to the educational reform in China and teachers’occupation accomplishment.Backing on the new educational reform in China, this paper will focus on "several solutions to one problem" and "multiple question solution", which are the variable type teaching modes. The author will contrapose teaching effectiveness, and then analyze the factors in the following three dimensions:Firstly, the author will use document analysis, interview and case study to study the correlation theory of variable type teaching, which include the penetration, development and characteristics of "several solutions to one problem" and "multiple question solution", dependency relation of them etc. The second dimension is the analysis of the value of both of them through theory research and case study. The third dimension is about the value of them on mathematics teaching through practice.As a educational research study, the effect of the variable type teaching from this reseach certainly cannot be complete. But the author is sure that we can carry forward it by using "several solutions to one problem" and "multiple question solution" in the high school mathematics teaching. Finally, the author also hopes that more research on it will appear in the near future. No doubt, such researches are important to the new round educational reform and the teaching effectiveness.
