Teachers not only use language to transfer knowledge and share emotions with students in classroom teaching, but they also communication with students by eye contact, facial expression, body posture, gestures and other nonverbal behavior. The nonverbal behavior is important and cannot be replaced by verbal information, but these silent language is often ignored by teachers. In elementary school. nonverbal behavior is particularly important because of the pupils have different psychological development features from other age students.This study finds the problems existing teachers’ nonverbal behavior in class in the primary school through the investigation about the present situation of primary school teachers’ nonverbal behavior in class, and this paper analyzes the reason of the problems, then try to find out the optimization strategy of elementary school teachers’ nonverbal behavior in class, finally implement the strategy. Research object of this study is a teacher in primary school of chengdu, the data for teachers is collected through classroom observation and interview, and the optimization strategy is explored through the action research.This paper includes four parts. The first part of the introduction mainly discusses the origin, the purpose and significance of research, literature review and research method and process.The second part relates the concepts definition that focuses on nonverbal behaviors and teachers’ nonverbal behavior in the classThe third part use the classroom observation and teachers’ interview of a primary school in chengdu on the current situation of teachers’ classroom nonverbal behavior survey, analyzes the problems existing in the primary school teachers’ nonverbal behavior in class and discuss the reasons behind the problem.Fourth part explores the optimization of the strategy of primary school teachers’ nonverbal behavior in class according to the results of the investigation of the status quo, and expounds the principle of optimization of elementary school teachers’ nonverbal behavior in class, by cleaning up to optimize the elementary school teachers’ nonverbal behavior in class related theory, analysis the structure and function of primary school teachers’ nonverbal behavior in class, then makes optimization tools of elementary school teachers’ nonverbal behavior in class, finally the policy is practiced through the action research,, learning the theory, following the teacher lectures, trying to find ways of teachers’ self reflection is the effective method to optimize the elementary school teachers’ nonverbal behavior in class.
