Study On The Reference Of Lao-tzu’s Ideology For Ideological And Political Education In Colleges And Universities

In recent years, our country pay more and more attention to the ideological and political education of citizens, especially the ideological and political education in colleges and universities, which plays the important role in cultivation of talents. However,as the traditional way of ideological and political education is too rigid and boring, the effectiveness of education is disappointing. Lao-tzu attaches great importance to the cultivation of human nature, his thought of cultivating one’s morality is consistent with the goal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.Therefore,Lao-tzu’s ideology has its positive significance for ideological and political education in colleges and universities. And it is no doubt that Lao-tzu’s ideology has its limitation and negativity because of the historical background that Lao-tzu lived.Firstly, this paper expounds the historical background and status of Lao-tzu’s ideology, and indicates the significance of the reference that Lao-tzu’s ideology to ideological and political education in colleges and universities of our country, which is the internal requirement of the construction of socialist core value system, is helpful to enhance the teaching effectiveness of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, is helpful to carry forward the traditional culture and promote the national self-confidence of college students, and is helpful to build harmonious campus atmosphere.And then, making a further study on the reference of Lao-tzu’s ideology to ideological and political education in colleges and universities with four aspects:concept, content, method and process. The application of the essence of Lao-tzu’s ideology can effectively enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education.In the last chapter, in case of the possible problems occurred in the process of reference on Lao-tzu’s ideology to ideological and political education in colleges and universities, this paper puts forward contermeasures with Four Insistence.First, insist on the leading position of socialist core value system and the guiding ideology of marxism. Second, insist on the modern transformation of Lao-tzu’s ideology to achieve the modernized value;Third, insist on the integration of inheritance and criticism to keep the essence of Lao-tzu’s ideology; Fourth, insist on the integration of infusion education and infiltration education to improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education.
