Now college students are under a critical period of forming their world outlook, view of life and values, and their minds are sharp, impulse and changeable. With the development of the economic globalization and the coming of the information age, different values collision and bad social thoughts dissemination strongly rush their political believes, ideals, values and behaviours, causing colleges and universities to face the heavy struggle of ideological and political education. The most important way of improving the real effectiveness of it is that we should escape its no origin in thought, that?s naturally related to the broad and profound Confucian culture of a long history. As a result, analyzing the reference value and reference principle and approach of Confucian culture for colleges and universities ideological and political education becomes an important subject of its actual study.Referring to the basis of the present study result, this text aims to improve the actual effect of colleges and universities ideological and political education, guided by Marx?s theory of man and the theory of ideological and political education, exploring systematically the colleges and universities ideological and political education ?s reference problems of Confucian culture.The introduction and the chapter two make a explanation of subject background, significance, research status and its study thought and method, connecting the carding of Confucian culture ?s development and spiritual core and focusing on the discussion of the basic connotation of the Confucian culture. We use three chapters to discuss the Confucian culture?s value status, reference content, principle, and method of colleges and universities ideological and political education systematically. Among them, the third chapter confirms the Confucian culture?s value status of colleges and universities ideological and political education in accordance to its important resources, national culture?s sources and the effect of acceptance ?s guarantee. The fourth one builds up a content system of colleges and universities ideological and political education?s reference of Confucian culture from ideological education, political education, moral education and psychological education. The fifth one puts forward three basic principles of colleges and universities ideological and political education?s reference of Confucian culture, namely, the union of one leading and diverse development, that of inheritance and integration, and that of reference and innovation, discussing the effective method of colleges and universities ideological and political education reference of Confucian culture in view of its theory teaching, its daily education and its teamwork. In the “conclusion” part, we make a conclusion of all of the main text content and point out some problems of paper writing, making clear our goals in the future.
