The scores of individual annoyance, daily study annoyance and negative life events were 10.77±8.60,7.38±6.04,2.06±2.70. The total score of stressful life events was 20.22±15.49. The scores of self efficiency, optimism, hope, and psychological resilience were 32.34 ± 6.51,30.33±5.48,31.05±5.08,30.19±6.17. In summary, the status of psychology of postgraduates was not so bad.2.Univariate analysis found that the influence factors of psychological distress of general demographic and study-related information were the college types, gender, nationality, religion, character, location, whether single child, marital status, family economic status, and the grade, profession, academic degree type, the degree of satisfaction of profession, the reason why they got a postgraduate education, the relationship of supervisor and student, how many projects they attended.3. The correlation analysis found that the individual annoyance, daily study annoyance, and negative life events were positively connected with psychological distress(r=0.423, P<0.001; r=0.440, P<0.001; r=0.277, P<0.001); the attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance were positively connected with psychological distress(r=0.248, P< 0.001; r=0.246, P< 0.001); the self efficiency, optimism, hope, and psychological resilience were negatively connected with psychological distress(r=-0.254, P<0.001; r=-0.356, P<0.001; r=-0.376, P<0.001; r=-0.320, P< 0.001).4. Hierarchical linear analysis found that after controlling for the general demographic and study-related variables individual annoyance and daily study annoyance still had a directly and independently predictive effect on psychological distress(P<0.05); after controlling for above variables attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance still had a directly and independently predictive effect on psychological distress(P<0.05); after controlling for above variables psychological resilience and hope still had a directly and independently predictive effect on psychological distress(P<0.05).5. Structural equation model found that the stressful events had a direct effect and an indirect effect through psychological capital and attachment on psychological distress. Model fit indicators of the model were χ 2/df=2.618, GFI=0.984,AGFI=0.0.967,RMSEA=0.040.Conclusions1.The psychological distress of medical postgraduates was at different levels while the psychological capital of them were not bad. The psychological health of medical postgraduates were discrepant at different levels of general demographic and study-related variables.2.Even though the psychological distress of medical postgraduates was slight, we still found two medium paths though psychological capital and attachment. We advised that the psychological intervention workers could take the two concepts into consideration.
