In any social groups every individual need a common memory to live and communicate with each other, shared memory is a bond to connect people to be a collective. Village is living space and communicating place of villagers, villagers formed shared memory about village in the long course of living life, these memories in daily life had continued to been extracted and constructed and inherited from generation to generation in the village, could be called rural memory, it records the history and culture of the village, and is the glue the rural community, also is the Shared spiritual home of villagers group. Currently, our country is in a period of social transformation, with the development of market economy and unceasing enhancement of social opening level, country society is in a rapid changing, the morphological structure of the village and the way of production, daily life, behavior characteristics, ideas are changing, this have some inevitable influences on the continuation and inheritance of rural memory. With the strengthening of national concern for rural cultural tradition, the protection of rural memory become an important part of the new urbanization, the "rural memory project" implemented in Shandong province is an attempt to protect rural memory. The protection of rural memory must be on the premise of rural memory inheritance, also in order to realize the continuation and inheritance of rural memory, to explore the inheritance mechanism of rural memory in the period of social transformation is the inevitable requirement of protecting rural memory, continuation of village historical and cultural heritage, saving the common spiritual home of villagers. Therefore, this article chooses M village which is the recommending pilot village of Shandong province "rural memory project" as the investigation object, on the basis of field survey and the interview, take the important rural memory carrier of M village the stockaded village as the breakthrough point for analyzing the current situation of continuation and inheritance of rural memory. discussing the inheritance mechanism of rural memory in the period of social transformation and the enlightenment to the current protection of rural memoryThe full text mainly is divided into seven parts. The first part is introduction, mainly including the origin of research, the significance of research, the literature review, this part mainly puts forward the issues of concern in this research-- the inheritance mechanism of rural memory, and describes the research background, the research significance, and reviews and comments the related theory and literature of rural memory. The second part is the research design, points out the main research method and the overall framework of the research, and defines the key concepts in the article in this article the rural memory is defined as a collective shared memory about village which is formed and inherited in a specific scope of village and a long history of village changing that villagers lived and communicated with each other. Rural memory is not a static system, but a dynamic process, including both the preservation and record of village past life memories,and the extraction and interpretation of rural memories in the current social context, it is the results of constant preservation, extraction and construction. The third part mainly introduces the general situation of survey villages and the reasons of taking this village for an investigating site.The fourth part and the fifth part is the main body of the article, is the analysis for the inheritance mechanism of rural memory in the period of social transformation. The fourth part is the continuation of rural memory in the period of social transformation, mainly through the analysis of villagers used memory carrier-stockaded village to store and retrieve rural memory to research the continuation of rural memory in the period of social transformation, and explore the mechanism and conditions of rural memory inheritance:the continuation of rural memory need the relatively stable of village space structure as premise condition; the continuation of rural memory need the preservation of memory carriers:the continuation of rural memory need methods of keeping memory scenes, ritual interaction and so on to extract rural and making the countryside memory to awaken and reappear in the villagers’lives to realize the inheritance of rural memory.The fifth part is the differentiation of rural memory in the period of social transformation, mainly through describes the different interpretation of villagers to the connotation contained by a same memory carrier, which reflects a trend of differentiation in the process of rural memory inheritance, villagers selectively extract and construct the rural memory which is based on their individual needs and interests. The differentiation of rural memory not only reflects that villagers base on the succession of rural memory to reconstruct memory according to current conditions, and also have the potential threats to make rural memory fragmental and block the inheritance of rural memory in the period of social transformation. Then this paper analyzes the reasons of the differentiation of rural memory:rediscovery of rural memory functions in the period of social transformation; actions and inactions of village authority; the lack of communication between villagers.The sixth part is the enlightenment to rural memory protection, according to concluding the inheritance mechanism of rural memory in the period of social transformation, this article put forward some advices to rural memory protect: combination of static and dynamic protection; balance the relationship between rural memory protection and economic development; emphasize on collection and display of the rural memory data and text. The seventh part is conclusion, to summarize the study, points out the deficiency existing in this article, and the forecasting to future research.
