In ancient times,there was a preface to sending Ma student from Dong Yang.There is a past narrative of "thank you for your doctoral thesis" and "having walked a long way,suffered a lot,and had a lot of difficulties" throughout ancient and modern times.In phenomenology,past events are higher in quality than future events,while events close to self are higher in quality than other events.Whether in speeches or autobiographies,the successful new middle class prefers to adopt the "hard" narrative mode when "the past reappears".The current research acquiesces to the fact that memory and the past are real.Is this true? Of course.But just as "people can't step into the same river",memory can't reproduce the past one by one like a videotape.This is the viewpoint of cognitive psychology.Memory related research points out that the past is the present past,and what is recalled is what the recollector is willing to pick up from the long river of years,which is a kind of subjective truth.What you choose or not is based on your personal reference framework.The research object of this paper is rural kids born in the 1970 s and 1980 s.Based on the social memory theory,the author pays attention to their growth narrative: what characteristics do they present when they look back on the past? What kind of life story will they choose and why? Narrative is not only the research method of this paper,but also has strong affinity with memory.This paper finds that there are two narrative types commonly existing in the narration of rural students.One is from complaining to not suffering,and the other is repeatedly emphasizing the individual's ambition of "going out".In the former kind of narration,the peasant children tend to emphasize the hardship of life,the difficulty of personal situation and the personal ambition of "going out".However,they did not condemn the suffering at the end of the narrative,but gave a positive evaluation;In the latter category,they emphasized that they didn't want to be farmers,improve their lives and pursue freedom in the past,expressing their understanding of mobility.The past review of rural students is based on the present.Their narration sublimates the suffering of the past into the meaning structure of "poverty and sorrow,mediocrity and success",so as to find a sense of identity and personal "depth" for themselves.At the same time,it legalizes all personal efforts and establishes a certain consistency between the past and the present.This consistency is the mark from the present to the past.At the same time,this narrative reflects the social and cultural expectations and is the joint creation of individual and social culture.
