We treat strangers with caution, but our kids still be hurt by them, we treat acquaintance with trust, but our kids also be hurt by them. That’s make me to think what’s preschool children’s interpersonal concept of strangers and acquaintances. In order to solve this problem, I adopt the idea of qualitative research method and phenomenology, which emphasize on collecting materials in nature and describing what you see in a direct way, and finally give an explanatory understanding. I come to the kindergarten to observe and experience so that I can get the real and detailed description.I record how I was treated by the kindergarten as the description of kindergartens to strangers. For a better understanding of children’s interpersonal concept, I interview sixty children who are randomly selected. The result show that in children’s mind, the strangers are the person who wear mask or have weapon, or have some black element. However, the acquaintances are the person who are very close in mental or region distance and have good relationship among them. In preschool children’s view, strangers are mysterious, horrific, foxy and bad, but acquaintances are familiar, close, believableand good. I analyze the forming of children’s interpersonal concept of stranger from the teaching activities, children’s stories and videos about the stranger. Then I find what the education teach to preschool children is the stranger who are shaped to bad men. The forming of preschool children’s interpersonal concept of acquaintance is influenced by the acquaintance atmosphere in kindergarten, teachers’ education about acquaintance and parents’ acquaintance circle. Finally I make suggestions from the point of social culture and Pedagogy.Firstly, it is not suitable to always keep strangers away and close to acquaintances in Stranger society. We should change our attitude to strangers. Secondly, education should turn their eye on teaching children to tell good and bad, and teaching them learn how to get along with strangers and improving their ability to protect themselves.
