Since the new curriculum reform, there have been big changes not only in the structure and content of senior high school mathematics, especially in one of its important parts--solid geometry, and also in teaching goal and contents of the subject. Solid geometry plays an irreplaceable role in developing student’s space imaginative ability, logic reasoning ability and intuitive thinking ability. From the angle of the score at college entrance examination, solid geometry is one of the important fields to be examined at. Therefore, there is a significant research value in how to effectively develop student’s space imaginative ability, logic reasoning ability and intuitive thinking ability, and improve the teaching effect of senior high school solid geometry. The thesis analyzes the current problems in the teaching and learning activities of high school solid geometry by means of surveying in forms of test papers and questionnaires, proposes solutions to these problems and finally through practice checks the feasibility and effectiveness of the strategy. In the first Chapter of Introduction, the thesis mainly summarizes the research backgrounds, research status at home and abroad, research methods and significance.Chapter Ⅱ mainly explains the theoretic basis for high school solid geometry question-solving teaching activities, and the basis of mentality and mathematical thought to find a right theoretic foundation for solid geometry question-solving teaching practice. In chapter Ⅲ, the writer makes some surveys on high school solid geometry learning status in forms of test papers and questionnaires, and discovers the problems in solid geometry teaching and learning activities by analyzing the survey result.Under the guidance of question-solving teaching theory, chapter IV proposes corresponding solutions to the problems existing in these activities at three diffident types of classes---new-lesson class, exercise class and review class.Chapter Ⅴ makes a teaching practice to check the feasibility and effectiveness of teaching strategy proposed in chapter IV, taking the vertical relation of straight line and plane for example.Chapter Ⅳ mainly draws research conclusion and discusses the deficiency of the research and the prospect for future solid geometry teaching and learning.
